The Last Time

You wanted to finish the movie
So we go back to your place
I prop your laptop on my belly
I prop my head on your pillow
I prop my body next to your body

Before I hit play

You leaned in to give me a kiss
So I go back to your lips
I cover your body with mine
I dive under your arms your breath
I sink myself into you oh so soft

Before I move on

You looked like a princess under me
So I slow down to savor
I nibble at your bottom lip taste the coffee in your mouth
I tug and push at your princess hair hold your head so soft
I press my hand on your clavicle cover your heart soft so soft

Before I had to move on

You looked like a princess before me
So I slow my words
I look away from your grey green eyes
I want to be gentle without being soft
I give you no good reason and no good rhyme

The Tuesday Feb 11 Film

I walk out the door 9 a.m.
bright sun in sky, bright snow on ground
air clear and wind cool
Beautiful grey cement, I have missed you for so many years
I move on that grey, whitened by the salt of yesterday's snow
knowing I would never walk on grey with her again
and I taste bittersweet on my heart

Content
with everything I have and everything I don't

I walk out the door 9 a.m.
the opening scene of a film
I, a mere character
striving to direct

Alexis

I.

I can give you some
I can give you more
but you want more than some and more

I can take from you
I can take from us
but I will protect you from me and me from me

you are gentle sweet girl
a thing I know not how to adore
a thing I have never met before
you are too good in ways
I am unready for

you want more than some and more
you should be given sum of all

II.

evolutions
sandwiched by past and future
wake from pain fulfillment self reveal
wait for new takes new gives a new self keel

the future me and the now you, fill
the now me and the now you, nil
evolved versions of me
evolved versions of you
kaleidoscoped stories of me and you

who is unsure cannot give
who cannot give shall not take

my sweet dear girl
I give you all of all by taking nil of nil
